The mission of Secure Growth Initiative (SGI), a national business coalition, is to address border security, enhance America’s workforce and protect small and medium businesses from financial loss due to anti-workforce policies.
SGI was founded around four guiding principles:
- Secure the border and deport the undocumented with violent criminal records.
- Workforce reform that creates a comprehensive visa program addressing the needs of all sizes of businesses.
- Replace mass deportation with EARNED permanent legal status (pay restitution, get right with the law, pass a criminal
background check, and pay outstanding taxes or debts) - Hold the federal government responsible for the economic loss due to mass deportation policies.
The national, state, and local business organizations that make up the Secure Growth Initiative will take this message straight to their members, the American people, and lawmakers in Congress.
A National Disaster in the Making
For decades, Washington’s broken immigration policies have festered into a full-blown crisis — one that now threatens to detonate the very foundation of the American economy. Small and mid-sized businesses, the beating heart of our nation’s free enterprise system, have become critically reliant on a labor force that includes millions of undocumented workers and individuals with precarious temporary legal status.
The mass deportation of millions of workers in construction, hospitality and agriculture jobs would slash the gross domestic product by $1.7 trillion - a 6% decline - and could plunge the U.S. into a deep
and prolonged recession. Businesses across these critical industries would be devastated, leaving a ripple effect of job losses and economic instability.
Make no mistake: mass deportation is not a policy; it is a national disaster in the making.
If Washington fails to act with clarity, integrity, and realism, we may soon find ourselves facing not just a labor shortage, but a full-blown economic collapse, engineered not by our enemies — but by our own hand.
